What makes a “boxy SUV”
Boxy SUV is the Chinese segment label for straight-edged off-road styling on an everyday base: upright nose, vertical tail with a spare wheel, short overhangs, plenty of headroom. Technically these are not extreme off-roaders but SUVs with genuine off-road angles and a body whose extremities you can judge in a narrow street.
That recipe has always worked in Europe — from the classic compact off-roaders to today’s retro wave. The T2 brings it with a plug-in hybrid drivetrain: 28° approach angle, 30° departure, 205 mm ground clearance and 139 to 160 km of electric range for commuting.
