Anyone hearing the name Jetour for the first time asks three fair questions: who is behind it, how long has the brand existed, and how reliable are the cars? The short answers: Chery Holding Group, since 2018, and with a track record that contains an unusual number of cars for such a young brand.
Jetour is not a garage operation. It is the travel- and terrain-focused SUV brand of one of China’s largest car groups. More than 2.26 million Jetours had been delivered by the end of March 2026 — no other brand has passed two million units within seven years of being founded.

How reliable are these cars?
The high-voltage batteries come from CATL, the world’s largest battery manufacturer — lithium iron phosphate cells (LiFePO₄) in the G700, a chemistry known for longevity and thermal stability.
Both models meet the Euro 6B emissions standard and are technically inspected for the European market — not grey imports, but properly registered cars.
The most reliable statement about expected durability is the warranty: 7 years on the vehicle, 10 years on the powertrain and 8 years on the battery with 75 % remaining capacity. Nobody underwrites that for technology they do not trust.
What the parent group means for buyers here
For a customer, the size of the parent group is less a matter of prestige than of supply: parts availability, software updates and further development all depend on a manufacturer building in millions of units and operating internationally. That is exactly the case with Chery and Jetour.
